HIGH DENSITY CONVEYORS CARRY OUR MESSAGE AND SLUDGE TOO
Putzmeister offers complete solutions for conveying jobs in sewage treatment plants, with high density solid pumps at the core of every Putzmeister pumping system. Their main use is the conveyance of mechanically dewatered sewage sludge as well as screenings and grease. Even materials with a dry content of up to 50% can be pumped without any hitch.
With the KOS-type high density solid pumps, the S-transfer tube gives the delivery cylinder plenty of space to draw in the material, so that there is fluid movement with even the driest materials. To further increase effectiveness, Putzmeister high density solid pumps can be equipped with an auger feed device. This is fitted with a large self-cleaning screw conveyors and supports optimum filling of the conveying cylinder.
Silo technology with the "sliding frame principle" has especially been developed for dewatered sewage sludge. The silo can carry up to several 100cu.m of sludge and deliver it reliably to the pump.

WHEN PLASTIC ISN’T FANTASTIC: SEPARATING IT FROM ORGANIC WASTE
Biomass basically consists of organic waste which contains foreign bodies like wrappers, plastic, glass, metal cans etc. These foreign bodies disturb the process of mechanization of biomass by reducing the active volume in the digesters.
Putzmeister put forward the EKO 1260 PP as a solution to this problem. This single cylinder piston pump separates foreign bodies before feeding the organic waste into the digester in order to improve the fermentation process.
The EKO 1260 PP can easily handle wet material, as well as sludge containing large foreign bodies.

Putzmeister offers innovative solutions to remove and transport dredged material, surface water sludge or silt. Dredging is the removal of soil from an underwater location, followed by transportation to another location. This process is typically divided into three minor process steps: extraction, vertical and horizontal transport and disposal
The sludge is removed by excavators and filled into Putzmeister solid pumps. A remarkable feature of these pumps is that they can operate even with extremely high solid content and there is no need for dilution with water.

Putzmeister systems achieve the requirements of legislative bodies like ATEX or explosion protection methods using a controlled pump conveyance. This makes it possible to maintain the limit values of exhaust gas during the combustion process of the materials.
The EKO is a specialist when it comes to conveying high density solids that are too much for other pumps. Extremely dry material mixed with a wide variety of foreign bodies are fed through the open material chambers of the pump. The hydraulically driven piston presses materials into the pipeline that previously could not be pumped.
The Shredding Mixing Pumping (SMP) solution is one of the only ways to eliminate hazardous wastes without any human contact with the product and is a completely automatic system. It minimizes the contamination risk for the operators and the surrounding plant. A large range of waste can be treated using this method. They can be bulk, in a container / box or on a wooden pallet.The Putzmeister EKO pump is able to handle very big particles, even shredded containers.It operates in a continuous process, minimizing human contact and reducing environmental damage.
